Welcome to Rico Rovero Travel. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our website, services, and products offered by Rico Rovero Travel ("we," "our," or "us"). Please read these Terms carefully before using our services.

By accessing or using our website, booking travel services, or otherwise engaging with our company, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

1. Service Overview

Rico Rovero Travel provides travel agency services, including but not limited to tour packages, accommodation bookings, travel planning, and other related services focusing on Singapore and Southeast Asian destinations.

1.1 Service Availability

Our services are available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age or the legal age of majority in their jurisdiction. If you are under 18, you may only use our services with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

1.2 Website Usage

Our website is provided for informational and booking purposes. While we strive to ensure that all information is accurate and up-to-date, we do not guarantee the completeness, reliability, or accuracy of this information.

2. Booking and Reservations

2.1 Booking Process

When you make a booking through our services, you are entering into a contract with Rico Rovero Travel and/or the relevant travel service providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc.). By making a booking, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms on behalf of all persons included in the booking.

2.2 Booking Confirmation

A booking is confirmed only when we issue a written confirmation and after receiving any required payment. We reserve the right to decline any booking at our discretion.

2.3 Accuracy of Information

It is your responsibility to ensure that all personal information, travel dates, and other details provided during the booking process are accurate. Any errors may result in booking cancellations, additional charges, or travel disruptions.

3. Pricing and Payment

3.1 Pricing

All prices are displayed in Singapore Dollars (SGD) unless otherwise specified. Prices are subject to change due to factors beyond our control, including currency fluctuations, changes in taxes, or supplier price increases.

3.2 Price Inclusions and Exclusions

Our prices typically include the services specifically listed in the package or tour description. Unless explicitly stated, prices do not include:

  • Travel insurance
  • Optional activities or excursions
  • Visa and passport fees
  • Personal expenses
  • Tips and gratuities
  • Additional meals or beverages not specified in the itinerary
  • Airport taxes or fees not included in the ticket price

3.3 Payment Terms

Payment terms vary depending on the service booked:

  • For most tour packages: 30% deposit at the time of booking, with the balance due 45 days before departure
  • For custom tours: Payment schedule will be outlined in your personalized quote
  • For hotel-only bookings: Payment policies vary by property and will be clearly communicated at the time of booking
  • For last-minute bookings (within 45 days of departure): Full payment is required at the time of booking

3.4 Payment Methods

We accept payment via major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), bank transfers, and other specified payment methods. All payments processed through our website use secure encryption technology.

4. Cancellations and Changes

4.1 Cancellation by You

Cancellation policies vary depending on the service booked and the timing of the cancellation. General cancellation fees are as follows:

  • More than 60 days before departure: 20% of the total booking amount
  • 45-60 days before departure: 35% of the total booking amount
  • 30-44 days before departure: 50% of the total booking amount
  • 15-29 days before departure: 75% of the total booking amount
  • Less than 15 days before departure or no-show: 100% of the total booking amount

Specific services may have different cancellation policies, which will be communicated at the time of booking.

4.2 Changes to Bookings

If you wish to make changes to your booking, please contact us as soon as possible. Changes are subject to availability and may incur additional charges. Changes requested within 30 days of departure may be treated as a cancellation and rebooking, subject to cancellation fees.

4.3 Cancellation by Us

We reserve the right to cancel a tour or service due to unforeseen circumstances, safety concerns, insufficient participation, or events beyond our control. In such cases, we will offer you the choice of:

  • A comparable alternative service, if available
  • A credit for future travel
  • A refund of the amount paid to us

5. Travel Documents and Requirements

5.1 Travel Documents

It is your responsibility to ensure you have all necessary travel documents, including:

  • Valid passport (with at least six months validity beyond your return date)
  • Visas for all countries in your itinerary
  • Travel insurance documentation
  • Vaccination certificates or health documents required by destinations

We are not responsible for any consequences resulting from failure to have the proper documentation.

5.2 Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including coverage for trip cancellation, medical emergencies, and evacuation. Travel insurance is not included in our package prices unless explicitly stated.

6. Travel Risks and Responsibilities

6.1 General Risks

Travel involves risks, including but not limited to exposure to different customs, political systems, weather conditions, and potential health concerns. By booking with us, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

6.2 Health and Fitness

It is your responsibility to ensure that you are fit to travel and to disclose any medical conditions or special needs when booking. Some tours and activities may have specific health or mobility requirements, which will be communicated in the tour description.

6.3 Travel Advisories

We recommend checking travel advisories issued by your government before traveling. While we monitor conditions in our destinations, the decision to travel to a particular location is ultimately your responsibility.

7. Limitation of Liability

7.1 Service Providers

We act as an intermediary between you and various service providers (airlines, hotels, tour operators, etc.). While we select our partners carefully, we are not responsible for the actions, omissions, or negligence of these third-party providers.

7.2 Force Majeure

We are not liable for any delays, changes, or cancellations resulting from circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to:

  • Natural disasters, adverse weather conditions, or environmental events
  • Epidemics, pandemics, or public health emergencies
  • War, terrorism, civil unrest, or political instability
  • Strikes, labor disputes, or industrial action
  • Government actions or changes in laws or regulations
  • Technical failures or transportation disruptions

7.3 Limitation of Damages

Our liability for any claims arising from our services is limited to the cost of the relevant booking. We are not liable for indirect, special, or consequential damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, enjoyment, or opportunity.

8. Intellectual Property

All content on our website, including text, images, logos, design, and software, is the property of Rico Rovero Travel or our licensors and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.

9. Privacy

We collect and process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using our services, you consent to the collection and processing of your personal information as described in the Privacy Policy.

10. Complaints and Dispute Resolution

10.1 During Travel

If you encounter problems during your travels, please contact us immediately using the emergency contact details provided in your travel documents. Many issues can be resolved promptly if brought to our attention during your trip.

10.2 After Travel

Any complaints about our services must be submitted in writing within 30 days of the completion of your travel. We will investigate and respond to your complaint within a reasonable timeframe.

10.3 Dispute Resolution

In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved through direct communication, both parties agree to attempt resolution through mediation before pursuing legal action. Any legal proceedings must be brought in the courts of Singapore, and these Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

11. Amendments to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. The updated Terms will be posted on our website with a revised "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of our services after the posting of modified Terms constitutes your acceptance of the changes.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.
